Taplin is an okay band from Toronto that blends alternative rock, indie pop, and funk together. Even though they’re not very good, they give it their all. Hopefully, Taplin’s distinctive, nostalgic sound will bring you immense pleasure and joy.

From picking up a guitar as a kid, to helping forming Toronto’s rock band How Can We Save You, John’s journey continues with his own solo project. With a wide range of influence from bands like Led Zeppelin and Audioslave, he blends classic, indie and melodic grunge rock with elements of jazz and blues sprinkled in. John Manoukarakis is a unique musician who captures all emotional rollercoasters through his poetic lyricism, and intense chord structure.
