JAMMED SIGNAL: Open Jam & Artisan Market w/ Reishi Maylen

Hangul is Toronto’s newest indie/alt-rock act, led by Mir Kashif Iqbal, co-founder of trailblazing rock band Parvaaz (Bangalore). Known for fusing Kashmiri and Urdu poetry with contemporary rock, Kashif’s past work was hailed by Rolling Stone as “India’s most exciting band.” Now, with Hangul, he brings that signature depth and innovation to a fresh alt/indie folk/ jam rock sound.

The band's line-up comprises Mir Kashif Iqbal (Vocals & Guitar), Gabe Potter (Guitar), Robyn Bond (Drums & Backing Vocals), Scott "Reishi" Somerville (Guitar & Keys) and Elorm Agbeyaka (Bass).

Like the endangered Hangul deer, genuine music wanders in the shadows, elusive but enduring.
